The NHS Direct Wales website information service is intended for health information enquiries only. Skilled health information advisers will attempt to answer your enquiry within three working days.  

Please note that we cannot respond to any enquiries regarding symptoms you or someone else may be experiencing. If you are experiencing new or re-occurring symptoms please contact your health care provider or telephone NHS Direct Wales on 0845 46 47. If you are awaiting diagnosis or have any queries regarding your treatment please telephone NHS Direct on 0845 46 47.

Information provided by our service is not intended to replace a consultation with an appropriately qualified health professional, as we cannot guarantee that information provided will meet your health or medical requirements.

NHS Direct Wales cannot guarantee the security of information requests posted in its internet site. Your enquiry and our response may be read by someone other than yourself or us.

Upon responding to your enquiry, NHS Direct Wales cannot be held responsible for the delivery of the email to the user’s mailbox. Users are requested not to reply to emails received by NHS Direct Wales, but to submit a new enquiry using the Online Enquiry Service form.

NHS Direct Wales may use the information requests posted in the website to produce reports in order to monitor and develop the site. The data will be anonymous and no user will be identified.

On the successful delivery of your enquiry the web page will state your enquiry has been received. If you have not received a response to your enquiry within two working days, please resubmit your enquiry.
